Who can attend?
All adults can attend, regardless of age or membership status.

How many guests can I bring?
Attendees can register up 5 guests.

Is there a cost for this event?
No, it is free for everyone. But all participants should pre-register.

What time should I arrive?
We recommend arriving at the event 15 minutes prior to start time.

How long does the workshop last for?
Our Intro sessions are 90 minutes, all other sessions are 60 minutes with an hour break in between for set and refresh.

Should I bring my own device?
No, AARP will provide devices for practice for these workshops. However, in rare instances where our workshops are over capacity, we may ask participants to share devices or use their own.

What types of devices will be used for training?
AARP uses Apple iPads and iPhones, and Android Tablets and Smartphones. These workshops are designed to teach common skills that are relevant on all types of Smartphones and Tablets.

If classes are full can I be placed on a waitlist?

Do I need to register for this class?
Yes. There are two easy ways to register.

Will there be any food and/or beverages served?
No meals or refreshments will be provided.

Does AARP offer a discount if I would like to purchase one of these devices?
Since these classes are a learning experience and not a sales event, these devices cannot be purchased on-site. Some AARP partners do have special discounts on Smartphones and Tablets. Go to for more information.

Can I bring my child or grandchild to this workshop?
Because this event is designed for you to get hands-on experience and interact with other participants, it is not an ideal setting for small children. Please make alternative arrangements for small children if possible.
