Staying Safe from Scams: How to Avoid Fraud

About the Event

Scammers can target anyone, and knowledge could be your best defense against these criminals. To help keep you safe and informed, we're hosting a free Tele-Town Hall with Liz Buser, senior advisor of fraud prevention at AARP, and Staff Sergeant Tara Hardin of the Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office, who coordinates the TRIAD program there aimed at protecting older adults from crime.

We’ll share resources and tips on avoiding fraud and answer questions live. Our Tele-Town Hall will explore:

  • Common fraud tactics
  • Digital safety tips
  • How to support those affected by fraud
  • And more…
